The keg property was staked in October 2007 by Eagle Plains Resources to cover the historic Keg showing and the surrounding area.
Mineralization
The Keg showing consists of sphalerite associated with massive marcasite in subcroping boulders.
Grab samples from the Keg showing have returned zinc values up to 19% with minimal lead values.
2008 Exploration
The primary goal of the 2008 exploration program at the Keg was to define viable drill targets for the 2009 exploration season. The program utilized IP and HLEM surveys to evaluate subsurface extent of mineralization and geologic mapping / geochemical surveys to evaluate surface and near surface mineral potential. Additional
silt and soil sampling was conducted in adjacent valleys.
Access
The Keg claim is accessed by helicopter from the Willow Handle Lake camp 30 km to the north-west. Norman Wells, NT is located 185 km to the north-east and Ross River, YT is 275 km to the south-west of the claim.
